Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) Sensor: Service and Repair
MAT Sensor Service
REMOVE OR CONNECT

Electrical connector.

Carefully back out MAT sensor.
INSTALL OR CONNECT

Coat the sensor with a non-hardening sealer. The sealer should be applied to the sensor threads.

Sensor in engine. Torque to 20 Nm (15 ft lbs).

Electrical connector.
LOCATION
Top RH rear of engine, forward of valve cover.
