Seville V8-273 4.5L (1989)
Installation
1.
Coat mounting bracket attaching bolt threads with Loctite sealant or equivalent. Failure to use sealant on mounting bolts may result in
loosening of caliper to knuckle attachment.
2.
Align mounting bracket holes, then install mounting bracket and tighten attaching bolts to specifications.
Caliper Assembly
1.
Install bleeder screw.
2.
Lubricate piston seal, piston, caliper bore and dust boot with new brake fluid.
3.
Roll piston seal into seal groove in caliper bore, ensuring seal is fully seated and not twisted.
4.
Install dust boot over piston, ensuring lip of boot engages piston groove.
5.
Install piston in caliper bore, press piston to bottom of bore, then seat boot in caliper counterbore with suitable installer.
Caliper Installation

1.
If first design shoe and lining assemblies are being installed, mount insulators (4), Fig. 1, on caliper bracket.
2.
Position caliper on mounting bracket, ensuring insulators, first design, and mounting bolt boots remain in place.
3.
Apply thin coating of silicone grease to caliper mounting bolts, install bolts and tighten to specifications.
4.
Install brake hose, if removed.
5.
Install wheels and lower vehicle.
6.
Fill master cylinder and bleed brakes as needed. Do not attempt to move vehicle until brake pedal has been pumped several times and a firm
brake pedal has been obtained.
