HYDRA-MATIC 4L60 (THM 440-T4)
MODELS AFFECTED:
1988-1990 DE VFLLES, FLEETWOODS, ELDORADOS, AND SEVILLES
Some 1988-1990 DeVilles, Fleetwoods, Eldorados, and Sevilles may experience a condition of no third gear due to overheating of the third roller clutch
and input sprag assemblies during overrun operation. New output shaft/bearing and third roller clutch assemblies are now available for service for certain
1988-1990 vehicles.

The new output shaft bearing has a single row or needle bearings instead of a double row to improve oil flow to the third roller clutch input sprag
assemblies.
