The third roller clutch outer race has four less lube holes to keep the roller edges from dipping into the lube hole when overrunning.
Production Change Dates:

The new third roller clutch assembly went into production December 11, 1989 (Julian Date 345).

The new output shaft/bearing went into production January 25, 1990 (Julian Date 025).
Service Notes:

The new parts will assemble the same way as the previous parts.
Service Parts Information:

The new output shaft and bearing will service 1988-1990 models.

The new third roller clutch assembly will service 1989 and 1990 models back to 1988 Julian Date 333 or any vehicles that have been equipped
with an input housing thrust bearing assembly. Refer to Cadillac Service Bulletin T-90-42.
