For Steps 8 through 11 refer to Illustration # 1 and use Service Kit P/N 3634775
8.
Install splined washer adaptor.
9.
Install new washer.
10.
Install new prevailing torque nut and torque to 245 N-m (180 ft. lbs.).
11.
Install nut retainer over nut and be certain that the three tabs latch into the three notches in the splined washer adaptor. If tabs and notches do not
align, tighten nut further to align. Do not exceed 275 N-m (200 ft. lbs.).
12.
Install front wheel covers or wheel inserts.
13.
Lower car.
14.
Install Campaign Completion Label.

Group 2 (Eldorado KU602288 - KU604323 and Seville KU801690 - KU903239)
1.
Raise car on hoist. Do not lift wheels from floor.
2.
Remove front wheel cover or wheel insert.
3.
Remove drive axle nut and washer and discard.
For Steps 4 and 5 refer to Illustration # 2
4.
Install new washer (P/N 10049691).
5.
Install new prevailing torque nut (P/N 14O3 5592) and torque to 245 N-m. (180 ft. lbs.).
6.
Install front wheel covers or wheel inserts.
7.
Lower car.

Install Campaign Completion Label.

Upon completion of this campaign, a white campaign label (Cat. No. S-1015) should be affixed on a clean, dry surface of the radiator support tie bar in
an area clearly visible when the hood is raised. Each label provides space to print in ink (or type) campaign number 89-C-2 and your five-digit Cadillac
dealer code. Dealers are to take the steps necessary to ensure that the numbers are properly recorded on the label.
