Remove the two bolts that retain the rear of the driver's seat track adjuster to the floor pan See figure 3.

Tilt the seat assembly forward and disconnect the power seat electrical connectors.

Pull the seat assembly rearward and disengage the front retaining hooks from the floor pan. See figure 3.
12.
Move the seat rearward to the rear seat floor.
13.
Using a sharp utility knife, carefully cut four (4) slits in the carpeting over the SDM as shown in figure 4.
14.
Pull carpet clear as required to remove the connector position assurance (CPA) and disconnect the electrical connector.
15.
Remove the fasteners that secure the SDM to the floor pan and remove the SDM. See figure 4.
IMPORTANT:
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE SDM IF OXIDATION/CORROSION IS FOUND IN THE NEXT STEP.
