Parking Brake Warning Switch: Description and Operation
Brake Warning System Circuit Description
When the park brake is applied, the park brake switch closes and a low (ground) condition exists at IPC connector C3 terminal B1 (CKT 1134, LT
BLU). If the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions, the indicator in the instrument cluster illuminates.
When the brake fluid level is low, the brake fluid level switch closes and a low (ground) condition exists at IPC connector C3 terminal B4 (CKT 333,
PPL). If the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions, the indicator in the IPC illuminates and the CHECK BRAKE FLUID message is
displayed.
