Fuel Injector Replacement
Removal Procedure
Tools Required

J 34730 Fuel Pressure Gauge

J 41081 Fuel Injector Remover
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release Procedure. See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release
2. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connector to vehicle harness.
3. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
Fuel Rail Assembly And Intake Manifold
4. Disconnect the fuel rail ground wire strap at the rear cylinder head.
5. Release the fuel rail to intake manifold locking tab (8) by pushing toward center of the intake manifold.
