Fuel Supply Line: Service and Repair
Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement (Filter to Tank)
Removal Procedure
Tools Required
J 34730 Fuel Pressure Gauge
Notice: Refer to Fuel and EVAP Pipe Installation Caution in Service Precautions.
Notice: Refer to Nylon Fuel Lines Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Relieve the fuel system fuel pressure. Refer to the Fuel Pressure Release Procedure. See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release
2. Drain the fuel tank. Refer to the Fuel Tank Draining Procedure. See: Service and Repair
3. Remove the fuel tank (5).
4. Disconnect the fuel feed (5) and fuel return (6) quick-connect fittings on the fuel sender assembly-side of the in-line fuel filter (4).
5. Cap the fuel sender fuel pipes and the in-line fuel filter pipes as needed to stop any fuel leakage.
6. Remove the fuel feed, fuel return, and (7) attaching hardware and the fuel feed, fuel return, and EVAP pipes.
7. Note the position of the fuel and EVAP pipes and the fuel and EVAP pipe attaching hardware for installation.
