Seville STS V8-4.6L VIN 9 (1998)
Important: Do not depress the lock tab (1) on the back of the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. The lock tab will automatically disengage
when the coil is installed.
2. Make sure that the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil assembly is centered. A new coil assembly will be precentered.
3. Align the SIR coil assembly (1) with the horn tower on the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
4. Install the wave washer (1) to the upper shaft assembly. Refer to Infl Rst Steering Wheel Module Coil in Steering Wheel and Column for complete
assembly procedure.
5. Slide the coil assembly (2) onto the race and upper shaft assembly.
6. Remove the centering tab and discard it.
7. Install the retaining ring (3).
