REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement: Removal Procedure

1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the radio and heater and A/C control.
3. Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to RUN.
4. Look through radio opening in IP and locate the release button (1) on the side of the switch
5. Depress and hold the ignition lock cylinder retaining tab (located on the RH lower side of the ignition switch), using a flat bladed screwdriver or

other suitable tool.

6. Pull on the ignition cylinder to remove.

7. Release the retainers from the ignition cylinder bezel.
8. Slide the reader/exciter (4) and the cylinder cover (2) off from the ignition cylinder.
9. Release the retainers from the light pipe (2) to cylinder.
