2.4.
Apply a 2 mm (0.079 in) bead of RTV GM P/N 12378521 (Canadian PIN 88901148) around the flange of the camshaft position actuator
solenoid.
2.5.
Install the camshaft position actuator solenoid over the oil control valve.
2.6.
Install the alignment pin through the solenoid alignment hole and into the oil control valve alignment hole.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2.7.
With the alignment pin in place, install the camshaft position actuator solenoid bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the camshaft position actuator solenoid bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
2.8.
Remove the alignment pin.
2.9.
Install a NEW camshaft position actuator solenoid plug.
2.10.
Connect the electrical connector to the actuator solenoid.
2.11.
Install the air conditioning, power steering and water pump drive belt tensioner.
2.12.
Install the remote power steering reservoir.
