Drive Belt Replacement - Air Conditioning, Power Steering and Water Pump
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
3. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir mounting nuts and position the reservoir aside. It is not necessary to remove the fluid lines.
4. Rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise to release drive belt tension.
5. Slide the drive belt from the water pump pulley (1).
6. Slide the drive belt out from behind the drive belt tensioner. Access the belt from the side of the tensioner pulley in the location of the lower
reservoir mounting nut.
7. Allow the drive belt tensioner to return to the relaxed position.
8. Remove the drive belt from the remaining pulleys.
Installation Procedure
