Important:
Thoroughly clean the mating surface of the engine block and front cover (if necessary), removing all sealer and engine oil. Apply a 6 mm (0.25 in)
diameter bead (chocolate chip size) of gray engine sealer, P/N 12378521 (Canadian P/N 88901148), or equivalent, to the left and right sides of the
front side of the gasket at the area of the upper and lower crankcase split line. Apply thread sealer, P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489), or
equivalent, to all bolts prior to installation. All of the engine front cover bolts should be tightened to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
