SRX AWD V8-4.6L VIN A (2004)
4. Lightly lubricate the outer diameter of the seal with axle lube.
5. Install a NEW pinion seal using the J 45005.
6. Install the pinion flange onto the shaft.
7. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to clean the threads of the pinion nut.
8. Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the pinion flange nut.

Tighten the pinion flange nut to 285 Nm (210 ft. lbs.) while holding the flange with J 45012 and breaker bar.
