SRX RWD V8-4.6L VIN A (2006)
4. Adjust the right rear seat to the rear of vehicle.
5. Pull the carpet away from under the right side of rear seat.
6. When the carpet is pulled away from the rear seat the right rear fuse center (1) will be exposed, then remove the fuse center top cover.
7. Locate and remove the SIR fuse from the right rear fuse center.
IMPORTANT: With the SIR fuse removed and the ignition switch in the ON position, the AIR BAG warning indicator illuminates. This is normal
operation, and does not indicate an SIR system malfunction.
8. Remove the right carpet retainer trim.
9. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (2) from the right/passenger roof rail module yellow connector (3).
10. Disconnect the right roof rail module connector (3) from the right roof rail module (1).
11. Remove the right/passenger sound insulator from the instrument panel (I/P) (3).
12. Remove the CPA from the I/P module yellow connector (2).
13. Disconnect the I/P module yellow connector (1) from the vehicle harness yellow connector (2).
14. Remove both CPA locks from the passenger/RF side impact module and seat belt pretensioner yellow connector (1) located under the front of
passenger seat.
