Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LY7)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47719) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) in Cooling

System.

2. Remove the battery tray.
3. Remove the cowl panel retaining bolts.
4. Remove the cowl panel.

5. Using J 38185 slide the hose clamp away from the base of the heater hose.
6. Remove the outlet heater hose from the engine cooling thermostat assembly.

7. Using J 38185, slide the hose clamp away from the base of the heater hose.
8. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core.
9. Remove the heater outlet hose.
