7. Measure 2.4 m (8 ft) (a) straight back from the vertical reference line (1), measure 3 m (10 ft) (b) from point (2) and make a temporary mark on

the floor (3) where these 2 measures cross.

8. Measure 11.6 m (38 ft) (a) the distance from the wall from the vertical reference line (1) through the mark on the floor (2).

IMPORTANT:  Use a chalk line to establish the proper location of the reference line.

9. Paint a 51 mm (2 in) reference line on the floor 305 mm (1 ft) (b) parallel to the wall, left of the reference line and 8.4 m (27 ft 5.21 in) (a) the

distance from the wall to indicate the proper distance for aiming the DSCC.
