XLR V8-4.6L VIN A (2006)
3. Loosen the nuts (3) from the rear compartment lid (1).
4. Apply LOCTITE(TM) Blue, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Adjust the lid as necessary.
Tighten the nuts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
6. Close the lid.
7. Verify that the lid is aligned properly. Refer to Folding Top Clearance Gap Specifications.
8. Repeat the adjustment procedure as necessary.
9. Remove the protective covering.
10. Inspect the folding top for proper operation.
Cross Car Adjustment Procedure - First Design
The cross car position of the rear compartment is determined by the 2 cross car bumpers (1), one on each side of the rear compartment lid. Each bumper
contacts a non-adjustable bracket (2), that is mounted to the longitudinal frame support of the folding top. Both of the bumpers must contact these
brackets when the rear compartment lid is closed.
