Some owners of 1992 WL Vans equipped with Dutch Doors (RPO E54) may experience a condition where the rear wiper blade, or the wiper arm may
become inoperable. The wiper arm and wiper motor shaft may become bent causing the rear liftgate glass to become scratched.
The old wiper arm assembly design is such that when going through a mechanical rotating brush car wash, it may be possible for the rotating brushes to
grab the arm and bend both the arm and the motor shaft.
A new wiper arm assembly has been released into production. This new assembly is similar to the old assembly, except for a revised wiper arm angle and
a wiper blade that attaches from the bottom. This new assembly makes it less likely that a mechanical car wash could grab the arm.
