Subject: Tonneau Cover, Cargo to Midgate Water Leak (Adjust Strikers)

This bulletin is being revised to update the model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 07-08-57-005A (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).
Condition
Some customers may comment on a water leak between the first tonneau or cargo cover and the midgate.
Cause
The striker for the front tonneau or cargo cover may need to be moved forward to improve the cover seal compression to the midgate.
Correction
1. Inspect the water drain troughs or gutters (1) to ensure they have not become dislodged and to ensure they are not plugged with debris. Adjust and
clean the drains if necessary.
2. Water test to determine where the leak is taking place. Note that water in the drain troughs or gutters on either side of the bed is normal, and is part
of the water management system.
3. Mark the tonneau or cargo cover seal in the suspected leak area.
4. Remove the tonneau or cargo covers.
5. With emphasis on the suspected leak area, inspect the seals to ensure they are in good condition. Ensure that the seals are not deformed, damaged,
twisted or out of position in such a manner that would allow a leak to occur.
6. Inspect the seal clearance and compression in the vicinity where the leak point is suspected using the following procedure:
