3. Remove the park brake cable from the frame bracket and guides. 

4. If vehicle is a 1500 series with the second design or a 2500 series, perform the following: 

1. Relieve the tension from the park brake cable by pulling down on the cable in front of the equalizer and removing the cable from the equalizer

bar. 

2. Disconnect the cable from the equalizer. 

5. Remove the bolt from the rear axle clip. 
6. Remove the cable from the differential clip. 

7. Remove the cable from the mounting bracket by depressing the locking tabs.
