6. Using the J 24319-B (1), remove the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
7. Remove the outer tie rod end from the inner tie rod.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the outer tie rod end to the inner tie rod.
2. Install the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle.
3. Install the outer tie rod end retaining nut to the steering knuckle.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 55 N.m (40 lb ft).

4. Install the outer tie rod end retaining bracket (2).

Tighten
Tighten the retaining bolts to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).

5. Install the tire and wheel.
6. Perform a four wheel alignment. Refer to Measuring Wheel Alignment (With Rear Wheel Steering) Measuring Wheel Alignment (Without Rear

Wheel Steering) in Wheel Alignment.

7. Tighten the tie rod jam nut.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 65 N.m(48 lb ft).
