Recall 89V225000: Door Hinge Defect

A DOOR HINGE (UPPER OR LOWER) MAY BREAK WHILE OPENING OR CLOSING THE DOOR MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO REPOSITION
AND CLOSE PROPERLY. HINGE SEPARATION MAY REDUCE THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND
INCREASE RISK OF INJURY IN CERTAIN TYPES OF ACCIDENTS. REPLACE DOOR HINGES ON BOTH DOORS.

This bulletin revises the VEHICLES INVOLVED section of Chevrolet Product Campaign Bulletin 88C26(a), dated February, 1990. Specifically,
additional vehicles have been added to the 1988 Linden Assembly Plant vehicle population. The beginning breakpoint for this population is now
JE200001. Owners of these additional vehicles are being sent owner notification letters by Chevrolet Motor Division.

Product Campaign Bulletin 88C26(a) and Supplement 88C26(b) should not be destroyed as they are still applicable. Revised information is shown below
in bold type and denoted by a # sign.
