Reinstall body-side door check-link bolt from step # 4.

10.

For vehicles with power door locks and/or power windows, reconnect electrical harness and electrical connections from step # 3.

11.

Carefully close door and align as necessary according to Body Service Section (5L) of Corsica/Beretta Service Manual.

12.

Tighten all service hinge attaching bolts and nuts to
20 - 28 N-m (15 - 20 lb.ft.).

13.

Reposition water deflector, and insure proper operation of power door locks and/or power windows for those vehicles so equipped. Reinstall
door trim panel.

NOTICE: Install Campaign Identification Label at this time for Beretta vehicles.

Rear Door Hinge Replacement

REAR DOOR HINGE REPLACEMENT (WITH & W/0 POWER LOCKS & WINDOWS):

(Procedure to be performed on all rear doors requiring "Double Hung Hinges")

1.

Mark location of existing upper hinge on door and body.

2.

While supporting door with a floor jack, remove upper hinge.

NOTICE: When replacing an original hinge with a service hinge, the following procedure must be performed. Also, be sure to apply

appropriate protection to lift pad of floor jack to prevent damage to door or door paint.

a.

Lay body side of original hinge on sheet of paper and cut template, marking location of bolt holes on template.

b.

Place template on body side of service hinge.  Center punch upper body side bolt hole.

c.

Drill pilot hole 6.3 mm (1/4") at center punch. Enlarge pilot hole using an 8 mm (5/16") drill bit.

NOTICE: After enlarging pilot hole, apply touch-up paint to any bare metal areas exposed by drilling to inhibit rust from developing in

these areas.

3.

Install upper service hinge to the door and body (within marks from step # 1).

4.

Mark location of existing lower hinge on door and body.

5.

While supporting door with a floor jack, remove lower hinge.

NOTICE: Apply appropriate protection to lift pad of floor jack to prevent damage to the door or door paint.

6.

Install lower service hinge to door and body (within marks from step # 4).

7.

Carefully close door and align as necessary according to Body Service Section (5L) of Corsica/Beretta Service Manual.

8.

Tighten all service hinge attaching bolts and nuts to
20 - 28 N-m (15 - 20 lb.ft.).

9.

Install Campaign Identification Label.
