Blower Motor: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

With Air Conditioning

NOTE:  For a guide to normal operation go to the A/C System Check.  See: Testing and Inspection

1. Check Fuse 8 by visual inspection.
2. Check that ground G101 is clean and tight.
3. Check that the Blower Motor and A/C Blower Relay connectors are mated correctly and firmly seated.

NOTE:  Refer to the Symptom Table when a result is other thant normal.

Troubleshooting Hints

NOTE:  Go to System Check for a guide to normal operation.  See: Without Air Conditioning/System Check

1. If the Blower Motor does not operate at all, check fuse 8 by visual inspection.
2. If the Blower Motor does not operate at all, check that ground G101 is clean and tight.
3. If the Blower Motor does not turn off, install a new Blower Switch.
