Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

4-121 2.0L Engines

1.

Disconnect sensor harness connector at module, then remove sensor to block attaching bolt.

2.

Remove sensor from engine.

3.

Inspect crankshaft sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage and replace as necessary. Apply engine oil to new O-ring prior to installation.

4.

Insert sensor in block.

5.

Insert sensor attaching bolt, then torque to 88 inch lbs.

6.

Connect sensor harness connector at module.
