INTERMITTENT HORN BLOWING IN COLD WEATHER
Model and Year:
1987-90 CORSICA AND BERETTA
Condition:
Horn may blow when car is cold on some 1987-90 L cars.
Cause:
This condition may be caused by excessive shrinkage of the horn pad vinyl when cold. This forces the horn pad contact plates together
which activates the horn. This condition is more prevalent with darker (blue or black) horn pads.
Correction:
To repair this condition use the following procedure.
1. Remove steering pad from steering wheel.
2. Peel edge of horn pad back to remove the vinyl skin.
