Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Ball Joint To Knuckle
Service Ball Joint Attachment
SPECIAL TOOL REQUIRED (or equivalent)

J-29330, Ball joint separator.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and suitably support. If suspension contact hoist is used:

Place jack stands under suspension supports.

Lower vehicle slightly the so weight of vehicle rests on the suspension supports and not the control arms.
2. Tire and wheel assembly.
CAUTIONS:

Care must be exercised to prevent the axle shaft joints from being over-extended. When either end of the shaft is disconnected, over-extension
of the joint could result in separation of internal components and possible joint breakage. Failure to observe this can result in interior joint or
