Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery ground cable.
2. Refrigerant from the system.
3. Inlet (34) and outlet (35) lines. Cap or plug all open connections.
4. Screw (33).
5. Accumulator (31).
6. Drain excess refrigeration oil into a clean container. Measure and add new oil.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Accumulator (31).
2. Add 0.028 kg (1 oz.) of clean 525 viscosity refrigeration oil PLUS an amount equal to that drained.
3. Screw (33).
4. Inlet (34) and outlet (35) lines. Dip the seals in 525 viscosity refrigeration oil and tighten connections to 40 Nm (30 ft lbs).
5. Battery ground cable.
6. Charge system with refrigerant and leak test.
