2. Oil pan against cylinder block.
3. Slide oil pan back against straight edge using J 34673 or equivalent.
4. Oil pan bolts and nuts but do not tighten.
Measure
-
Use a feeler gage to check the clearance between the three oil pan to transmission bell housing contact points as shown. If clearance exceeds 0.254
mm (0.010 in.) at any of the three points repeat steps 2 and 3 until the clearance is within specification.
NOTICE: If the clearance is more than 0.254mm (0.010 In.), powertrain durability may be impacted.
Tighten

Bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb. ft.) in the sequence shown.
