13. Using J41240, hold the water pump pulley, remove the water pump pulley bolts.
14. Remove the water pump bolts.
15. Remove the water pump.
16. Remove and discard the water pump gaskets.
17. Clean and inspect the water pump, if necessary.
Installation Procedure
1. If reusing the old fasteners, apply sealant GM P/N 12346004, (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to the threads of the water pump bolts.
2. Install NEW water pump gaskets and the water pump.
Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Service and Precautions.
3. Install the water pump bolts. Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
