Campaign Identification Label

Each vehicle corrected in accordance with the instructions outlined in this bulletin will require a "Campaign Identification Label". Each label provides a
space to include the five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or a ball
point pen.
Each "Campaign Identification Label" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is brought in for
periodic servicing by the owner.

Apply "Campaign Identification Label" only on a clean, dry surface.

Claim Information

Submit a Product Campaign Claim with the information indicated below:
Dealers will automatically receive the correct labor based on the labor operation performed.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

General Motors has determined that certain 1989-90 C/K 1500-3500 Series Extended Cab Trucks contain incorrect instructions on how to properly
adjust the rear seat lap-shoulder belts. Since the instructions provided do not describe "proper use" of the seat belt assembly, they fail to conform to the
requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies".

To correct this condition, we have enclosed an owner's manual insert containing the correct rear lap-shoulder belt instructions. The information in this
insert replaces the "LAP-SHOULDER BELTS" information found on pages 1-9 and 1-11 of the 1989 owner's manual or pages 1-10 through 1-12 of the
1990 owner's manual. Please read the enclosed insert carefully before inserting it in your owner's manual between pages 1-8 and 1-9 (1989 or 1990
manuals). The owner's manual and enclosed insert should be furnished to any subsequent owners so that they will have the correct instructions. After
placing the insert in your owner's manual, or if you have sold or traded your truck, please complete the enclosed postage paid reply card and return it to
us.
