It has been determined that certain 1989 Chevrolet C/K 15-35 Series Light Duty Trucks were produced at Oshawa Truck Assembly Plant with incorrect
or missing vehicle certification labels. The trucks were assembled correctly. The incorrect information or missing certification labels fail to conform to
the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 120, "Tire Selection and Rims for Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars."
To correct this condition, a new certification label is to be affixed to each affected vehicle.
Since a new certification label can be easily installed and to reduce owner inconvenience, new certification labels will be sent directly to owners of
record. Owners may install the new label or ask their servicing Chevrolet Dealer to do the service. Dealer service is to be done at no charge to owners.
The attached prorate sheet indicates the number of vehicles involved in each Branch.
