Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE:

NOTE:  A constant bleed feature in the pressure regulator relieves pressure when engine is turned "OFF."

Disconnect negative battery terminal to avoid possible fuel discharge if an accidental attempt is made to start the engine.

Loosen fuel filler cap to relieve tank vapor pressure.

The internal constant bleed feature of the TBI relieves fuel pump system pressure when the engine is turned "OFF." Therefore, NO further
pressure relief procedure is required.
