Inspect for three torque converter-to-flex plate bolts. if missing, replace with bolt P/N 1261968.

5.

Torque all three bolts to 63 Nm (46 lbs.ft.).

6.

Install inspection cover and bolts. Tighten bolts to:

-C 1,2 W/4.3L - 33 Nm (24 lbs.ft.)

-C 1,2 W/5.0L/5.7L - 12 Nm (9 lbs.ft.)

-K 1,2 W/ ALL ENGINES - 33 Nm (24 lbs.ft.)

7.

Install transmission brace rods (if equipped). Tighten bolts to:

-Inspection cover bolt - 55 Nm (41 lbs.ft.)

-Engine mount bracket nut/bolt - 70 Nm (52 lbs.ft.)

PARTS INFORMATION

Parts are to be obtained from GENERAL MOTORS SERVICE PARTS OPERATION (GMSPO). To ensure parts are obtained as soon as possible.
order them from GMSPO on a C.I.O. Order with no special instruction code but order under an Advise Code (2).

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Dealers should submit a warranty claim on each vehicle completed under this campaign.

CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL

Each vehicle corrected in accordance with the instructions outlined in this product campaign bulletin will require a "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION
LABEL." Each label provides a space to include the campaign number and five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service. This
information may be inserted with a typewriter or ball point pen.

Each "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is
brought in for periodic servicing by the owner.

Apply "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL" only on a clean, dry surface.
