Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
3. Remove the valve rocker arm covers from the cylinder head.
4. Remove the valve rocker arm bolt from the cylinder head.
IMPORTANT: If the push rod is the only item to be replaced, loosen the valve rocker arm bolt until the valve rocker arm can be rotated so the
push rod can be removed.
5. Remove the valve rocker arm and guide from the cylinder head.
