6. Remove the pushrod from the engine block.
IMPORTANT: Store the valve train components in order so that the components can be reassembled in the same location.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the pushrod into the engine block. IMPORTANT: When a new valve rocker arm and balls are installed, coat the bearing surfaces with clean
engine oil GM P/N 12345501.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the pushrod is properly seated in the valve lifter.
2. Install the valve rocker arm bolt to the cylinder head.
Tighten The bolts to 54 Nm (40 Nm ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the valve rocker arm cover to the cylinder head.
4. Connect the battery negative to the battery.
5. Close the hood.
