C 2500 Suburban 2WD V8-454 7.4L VIN J SFI (1998)
1. Install the bypass valve in the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation (4WD) under Engine Unit Repair.
2. Install the oil filter adapter (2WD) to the engine block.
3. Install the oil filter adapter (4WD) to the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation (4WD) under Engine Unit Repair.
4. Install the oil filter to the adapter.
5. Lower the vehicle,
6. Connect the battery negative cables to the battery.
7. Close the hood.
