Hood Link Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the front of the hood.
2. Remove the link assembly (6) from the hinge bolts (8).
3. Remove the link assembly from the fender bolts (5).
4. Remove the link assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the link assembly (6) to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the link assembly to the fender bolts (5).
Tighten the link assembly to the fender bolts (5) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3. Install the link assembly to the hinge bolts.
Tighten the hinge bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
