Engine Sight Shield Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Loosen the intake manifold sight shield bolt (3).
2. Remove the sight shield (2) from the sight shield retainer (1).
3. Remove the sight shield bracket retainer nuts, if necessary.
4. Remove the sight shield bracket (1), if necessary.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the sight shield bracket, if necessary.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the sight shield bracket nuts, if necessary.

Tighten the intake manifold sight shield bracket nuts to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
Notice: Use care when installing the engine sight shield to avoid contacting the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor wire harness connector.
Loss of engine performance or engine damage may result.
3. Install the intake manifold sight shield (2) to the bracket (1).
4. Tighten the intake manifold sight shield bolt (3).

Tighten the intake manifold sight shield bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
