Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove oil level indicator from the tube.
2. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt from the right cylinder head.
3. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the engine block.
INSTALLATION
1. Apply a sealer GM P/N 12346004 or equivalent around the oil level indicator tube 13 mm (0.5 inch) below the bead.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block. Rotate the tube into position.
3. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt to the engine block.

Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
4. Install the oil level indicator into the tube.
