NOTICE: Do not clean or immerse the starter motor parts in grease-dissolving solvents. Solvents will dissolve the grease packed In the drive assembly
and may damage the armature or field coil insulation.
Clean

All starter motor parts with a clean soft cloth prior to testing.
Inspection
Inspection in the following steps refers to visual inspection of the starter motor parts and assemblies to determine their serviceability. Electrical tests for
