Blower Motor: Service and Repair
Without Air Conditioning

 Heater Case Component View

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Front screw from right door sill plate.
2. Right hinge pillar trim panel.
3. Electrical connectors, as necessary.
4. Blower motor cover.
5. Blower motor cooling tube.
6. Bolt from the right dash support.
7. Blower motor flange screws.
8. Blower motor.

CAUTION: Pull the blower motor forward 
carefully to avoid distorting the blower fan.

9. Blower motor fan, if necessary.

INSPECT

Blower motor terminals for distortion. Clean corrosion from the terminals or replace the blower motor as necessary.

Flange of the blower motor for damage or distortion that could cause an air leak.

Blower fan for damage or distortion. Repair or replace as necessary.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Blower motor fan, if removed.
2. Blower motor.

CAUTION: Guide the blower motor and blower fan into position, being careful not to catch the blower fan on protruding parts.
