On those 1982 vehicles equipped with 70 amp alternators, the existing rear brace, P/N 14017795, must be removed, altered per
illustration #1, and reinstalled. The existing belt, P/N 9433744, must also be reinstalled or replaced with a new belt of the same part
number.

ILLUSTRATION 2 - TOP ALTERNATOR BRACKET ALTERATION

If misalignment still exists, remove P/N 14034010, top alternator bracket, extend inlet manifold slot .08" (2 mm) toward front of vehicle
and reinstall (see illustration #2).

Retighten all belts to specifications.
