*Remove tire and wheel assemblies.

*Remove and discard bolts, nuts and washers securing the shock absorber to its brackets, Figure No. 1.

*Fit new bolts in the direction shown in Figure No. 1.

Torque nut on upper bolt to 94 N-m (70 ft.lbs.) and torque the nut on the lower bolt to 75 N-m (55 ft.lbs.).

Repeat operation on opposite side of vehicle.

Reinstall tire and wheel assemblies. Torque on a 6 or 8 stud single wheel is 123 N-m (90 ft.lbs.).

Lower vehicle.
