Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

Remove intake manifold.

2.

Remove pushrod cover and valve cover.

3.

Loosen rocker arm, then rotate rocker arm off pushrod and remove pushrod.

4.

Remove lifter, Fig. 7. If more than one lifter is to be removed, identify lifters and pushrods, so they can be reinstalled in their original
locations.

5.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque rocker arm ball nut to 20 ft. lbs.
