Service Procedure

ILLUSTRATION

1.

Disconnect negative battery cable.

2.

Loosen accessory drive belts.

3.

Remove crankshaft pulley bolt, washer and pulley.

4.

Inspect and clean area on end of crankshaft and inside of sprocket.

5.

Insert wedge spacer (3) with sharp edge towards crankshaft (see illustration).

6.

Insert spring washer (2) (see illustration) so that outer edge (large end) contacts wedge spacer (3) (small end [convex side] will contact pulley). A
dab of grease may be used to retain spring washer (2) prior to pulley installation.

7.

Install pulley, washer and new crankshaft pulley bolt (1) provided.
