The 1988 1st design weatherstrips and retainers have interlocking slider brackets (see Figure 1). This design was used on approximately
1,000 vehicles in the 1988 model year.  However, due to potential confusion in recent years, some service repairs may have been made
by intermixing these parts with 2nd design parts.
