Camshaft: Service and Repair

Fig. 11 Removing Camshaft

1.

Remove valve lifters and engine front cover.

2.

Remove grille, radiator, oil cooler and condenser.

3.

Remove timing chain as outlined previously.

4.

Install two 5/16-18x4 bolts in camshaft bolt holes, Fig. 11.

5.

Remove camshaft from engine using care not to damage camshaft bearings.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.
